CF Plastic Profiles is once again affiliated with VinylPlus® this year
CF Plastic Profiles is once again affiliated with VinylPlus® this year, the sustainability label for PVC construction products. CF Plastic Profiles has been connected to VinylPlus® for some time because it places great value on a circular economy and the recycling of PVC waste. With the VinylPlus® Product Label, as a producer of plastic profiles, we demonstrate an active contribution to this effort and show our commitment to developing and improving our recycling methods. This also helps to shape the legislation for this in a European context. Read more about VinylPlus® and the VinylPlus® Product Label below.
What is VinylPlus®?
VinylPlus® is the European PVC industry's program aimed at the sustainable development and circular economy of PVC building products. Over the past decade, VinylPlus has focused on the continuous development of collection and recycling schemes for PVC waste across Europe, the gradual replacement of the most problematic additives, reducing energy consumption in production processes, and the development of the VinylPlus® Product Label. In the past two decades, Vinyl 2010, which was the first Voluntary Commitment of the European PVC industry, and VinylPlus have succeeded in achieving their objectives by reporting annually and being monitored by an independent Supervisory Committee.
During the VinylPlus Sustainability Forum 2021, the entire PVC value chain reaffirmed its commitment to progress towards a sustainable and circular future with the official launch of VinylPlus 2030, the next ten-year commitment of the European PVC industry for sustainable development.
